Now enrolling no-cost full day kindergarten and first grade

Central Christian Academy offers an enriched before and after school pick up transportation program.   We drop off and pick up at all local Greenbrier Schools and ABC programs in our clean, new commercial vans.  We understand the different needs that your school age child has once the regular school day is over.  It is important that your child has a chance to “unwind” from a long day at school, but also to have structure and age-appropriate activities to enhance their time at Central Christian Academy. 

The average daily schedule consists of arrival and handwashing hands; then sitting down for a healthy snack. We have a dedicated quiet time to study, read or complete homework and supervised free choice time divided between outdoor and inside play.

Bible Focus:  Our Bible focus is integrated into praying before snack time, Bible store time and more activities.

Gross Motor:  Our main campus playground is equipped with full size swings and slides; a basketball goal and other playground equipment appropriate for school aged children.  The Clubhouse campus has a wonderful shaded natural playground and is also within walking distance to the Melton Cotton Event Center, where we enjoy taking the kids to play basketball or walk the track.

Social/Emotional:  Our school age teacher can be a peer mediator through positive reinforcement, utilizing talking points and playing interactive games.  We encourage our school age students to use their words to solve problems with peers, and to make wise choices. Children at this age often form meaningful friendships with other peers and develop unique and often lasting relationships. We offer FREE social skills and self-help classes with licensed therapists in our Clubhouse program located at 19 Business Park Drive.

Homework and Reading: Every afternoon, we have a time set aside to devote to homework and reading. These skills are very important to school age children.  Our school age teachers work with children during this time with the activities they need the most help with.  We have age-appropriate level books and reading groups in the class. The children have a lot of fun finding a place to get cozy and read a book! 

Health and Safety is very important at Central Christian Academy. Our staff is diligent in hand washing practices and daily hand washing procedures.  In addition, we have magnetic locking security features on the exterior doors and cameras in the classrooms.
